His Excellency Dr. Abdul Aziz bin Butti Al Muhairi, Chairman of the Sharjah Health Authority, said that based on the interest and keenness of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, in the field of child and childhood care, we launched the book Children's Rights in the Healthcare Sector, which is the first guide for doctors and health professionals in the United Arab Emirates, in the presence of a representative of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).

Al Muhairi added "The book aims to provide practical information for students of medicine, nursing and other health sciences, in addition to beginner professionals studying or working in the United Arab Emirates."

The Chairman of the Sharjah Health Authority indicated that the guide also presents national legislation and discusses many children's rights such as the right to non-discrimination, the right to information and the right to play.
